Earning Income Online As A Content Or Creative Writer

What is the difference between the twenty first century online content writing and the traditional creative writing structure. both are closely related yet the obvious difference can be spotted from a mile off. The basic difference can be laid out with a specially made 60 minutes movie and a 60 running seconds advert. The sole purpose of an advert is to sell a product or service whilst the aim of the movie is to entertain and enlighten you, provide tips on some aspects of life, stir up your iinations and in some little ways sells you a product or service. It takes creativity to do both but while you could easily get tired of seeing different 60 seconds adverts running over a 60 minutes period time frame, you could possibly not get tired of watching different movies simultaneously. Content writing is the widely accepted trend to be the sole source of earning income online as a writer. To learn the craft, a writer needs to be knowledgeable of “KEYWORDS” that will draw traffic to the content being written and as we all well know, advertisers often paint their good and products with brighter colors than they really are. The truth is that advertisers often show us how stupid they think we, the consumers, are. An advert shows you a pill that will clear up an headache within a few minutes of swallowing the pill. What they won’t tell you is that its advisable to consult a doctor before popping pills. Also, a  facial cream that works ic in hours when in the real sense of it the model who posed for the shot sat for almost an hour with expert make-up artist working to make such model into an Angel. Adverts exaggerate, so does content writing. There’s nothing entertaining or thrilling about content writing or maybe there is. However, its sweetness sores off like a morning dew as soon as the morning Sun awakens. The traditional creative writing is however full of excitement and thrills. It keeps you on the edge and gets you glued till the last line. Creative writing is more about the writer relating his life, experience, view, perception and sentiments in words. Creating a world that may be within the reach of the human sphere or beyond it. Whilst content writing is more popular and involves less critical, structural and creative thinking. As among every human endeavor, what you take home at the end of the day defines who you are and how the society perceive you to be. So history will remember the gold medalist in the first Olympic but not the most disciplined athlete you stayed clear of dope. So also, we have  immortal statues and drawings pulling tourist to cathedrals in Italy, Rome and world over though most were created by people who did not believe in the existence of a supreme being. So also, we have read of writers that acquired wealth from making the kings and the wealthy of their time look like gods in their write ups. Some of such writings have changed history and how the times are. This can also be seen as content writing. Its no surprise why given the advancement of time and the great role of the Internet in circulations of information, content writing is taking a strong hold in Internet marketing and more accessible to the masses in contrast with Creative Writing. So, if this is the case, do core traditional creative writers stand a chance in surviving the harsh brutishness of Content Writing as been the main income earner for writers? Blogging may seem an option but the truth is that the most popular blogs out there are the ones that started out earlier and mostly now offer advise on content writing, search engine optimization and generally how to get your website out to the world. A few blogs are making it though, especially in the food, Web and graphic design niche. Meanwhile, other aspects of creative writing suffer greatly. Its a general believe that its as hard for a cow to pass through the eye of a needle as it is for a writer to survive or earn a living as a creative writer online.
